Aviation Medical Examiners (AME) in San Diego Area
This page provides contact information, hours, and pricing so
that pilots can choose who they get their exam with based on price,
hours, or location. Unless specified otherwise medical exams
are given M-F between 9 AM and 4 PM. I recommend only getting
a class 1 and 2 medical if required. At completion of exam,
you can ask AME if you would have qualified under the higher
standards without worrying about being denied for all classes if you
don't. EKG only required if applying for Class 1 and over age 35.
Color vision test only required if no prior FAA medical. All doctors will ask you
to fill out the application online prior to the appointment and ask
for the application number. You can complete the application

I strongly suggest

this site PRIOR TO COMPLETING the application and ask the doctor
about any existing medical condition Prior to scheduling the exam.
